Innovative WebAR project transforms bank branch areas into interactive AR spaces for Sber's customers.

Our project introduced three unique AR experiences, each seamlessly integrated into specific zones within the bank’s branch—the lounge zone, the ATM zone, and the home smart assistant zone.

Each zone featured a distinct 3D element with its own story: a steaming coffee cup in the lounge, an interactive intonation ATM in the self-service area, and the advanced SberPortal smart assistant in the home assistant zone. Visitors could access the AR experiences by scanning QR codes placed on visible surfaces as stylish stickers, each with an engaging message—“Fill your Reality” for the lounge, “Top up your Reality” at the ATM, and “Augment your Reality” in the smart assistant area. These names not only highlighted each zone’s function but also intrigued visitors, enhancing engagement.

The WebAR experience debuted at Sber’s flagship branch on Tsvetnoy Boulevard in Moscow, delighting visitors and marking a significant step in the bank’s technological evolution.

Developed in just two months, the project faced a key challenge—optimizing AR scene sizes. By utilizing graphics shaders, we achieved visually rich effects without exceeding performance limits. Through extensive creative coding with Three.js, we tested over ten visual styles to select the most effective solutions and create smooth scene transitions for an immersive experience.

Our team also developed low-poly adaptations of the provided 3D models for the ATM and SberPortal smart assistant. Careful optimization ensured each scene remained under 4 megabytes, guaranteeing fast loading and smooth performance.

This project showcases our ability to blend cutting-edge technology with engaging storytelling, offering a seamless and interactive banking experience.
